The New Zealand Triathlon team doctor says an injury Kris Gemmell suffered while racing in Germany on the weekend won't keep him from the start line at the Olympic Games in Beijng.
John Hellemans says Gemmell has a fortnight to recover after cutting his foot in the German Bundesliga race on Monday as he made the the first transition from swim to bike.
He required stitches in the cut but received good treatment and Hellemans says at worst it means no running for a few days.
But he says Gemmell will be back into full training by the end of the week and will certainly be fit to race in Beijing on the 19th.
Gemmell has continued to swim and cycle.
