Temepara George will have to commit to the Commonwealth Games in India in two years time if she wants to return to the New Zealand netball team says coach Ruth Aitken.
George, who withdrew from the Silver Ferns last year ahead of the world champs has announced she will play for the Northern Mystics in the trans Tasman competition again next year, but won't be available for the Silver Ferns in their tests against Australia and England later this year.
She stepped back last year as she was travelling backwards and forward between Auckland and Townsville where her partner former Kiwis rugby league forward Sione Faumuina was based.
Aitken says George's form this year would have warranted her inclusion in the Silver Ferns squad but there's more to it than that... she wants players that will committ through to the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
