Slovenia and Ghana have won the latest group matches at the World Cup football finals.
Unfancied Slovenia registered their first win in the finals of a major tournament, beating Algeria one nil, thanks to another goalkeeping gaffe, to go top of group C. The Algerians had a player sent off late in the match, and their misery was compounded by the goalkeeping error that cost them the match.
In the other match this morning, Ghana's coach Milovan Rajevac organised the downfall of his homeland Serbia, but it was only a late penalty for Ghana which gave Africa it's first win in the continent's inaugural World Cup.
Ghana's goalkeeper had to make a number of acrobatic saves against the highly rated Serbs, until the last few minutes when Ghana converted their penalty and finished the match strongly.
The Germany-Australia match in group D kicks off at 6.30 this morning.
