The Crusaders have jumped to the top of the Super 14 rugby table after beating the Chiefs 26-19 in an action packed clash in Hamilton last night.
Both sides seemed intent on running the ball and with few kicks going into touch some spectacular periods of counter attacking rugby kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.
The Crusaders first five Dan Carter scored 16 points to move past former team-mate Andrew Merthens into second place on the Super rugby all time points scoring list and coach Todd Blackadder labelled the win as the best of the season so far.
