Gayle promises changes after another defeat

The West Indies cricketers again failed with the bat as they were beaten by 8 wickets by Australia in the second one day international in front of the smallest crowd ever for an Australian limited overs match at the Adelaide Oval.

The first ball dismissal of West Indies captain Chris Gayle effectively determined the outcome of the contest... they were bowled out for 170, which Australia reached in 27 overs.

Gayle, who has promised a 4-1 victory in the series, says that he's going to personally oversee changes to the team.

A little more than 8000 spectators braved temperatures of around 36 degrees to see the match.

Previously no 50-over game involving Australia had returned a crowd of less than 10,000, with the smallest being the 11,129 who saw Australia play New Zealand in November 1980.
