NZ win opening match at under 19 world cup

The New Zealand cricketers have won their opening match at the under 19 world cup beating Canada by 9 wickets at Lincoln.

The New Zealand captain Craig Cachopa (car-chopper) won the toss and decided to field first and they dismissed Canada for 128 in the 30th over with Doug Bracewell and Logan ven Beek taking 3 wickets each.

The New Zealanders reached their target in the 20th over with Tom Latham making 41 and James Neesham an unbeaten 47 off just 20 balls.

New Zealand's next match is against Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
