The NSW Swifts made a telling move in their bid to wrap up second place on the trans-Tasman netball table ahead of the finals, dismantling the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic 54-44 in Sydney.
With a top two position on the line, an impressive Swifts outplayed the Magic after an eventful first quarter, building on their superior play to forge an increasing buffer through the match.
Recording their fifth straight win, the Swifts leapfrogged their opponents into second place while Magic dropped to fourth with one round of the regular season remaining.
