New Zealand Super Rugby players lining up for a chance at a Commonwealth Games gold medal in sevens will have to prove they can adapt their game's quickly.

The triumphant New Zealand sevens team returned home today after securing their 12th World Series title in London and will now turn their attention to July's Commonwealth Games.

The coach Sir Gordon Tietjens says a number of Super Rugby players have expressed their interest in playing in Glasgow, but with not much preparation time the bulk of his squad will be sevens specialists.

He says if he does use Super Rugby players it's likely to be those he's worked with previously, but it's reliant on their teams missing the playoffs.
