New Zealand's Carl Murphy has finished one place short of a medal in the snowboard cross at the Winter Paralympics in Sochi.
In fourth place, the former world number one was in a strong position to challenge for a medal but fell twice in his third and final run, slipping out of medal contention to finish fourth.
Snowboarding was making its Paralympic debut in Sochi.
Murphy had been dominant in the sport for several years and until recently held a ranking of joint number one in the world.
A knee injury in December put him out of action for several weeks meaning that he did not compete in the World Cups leading into the Sochi Games.
