The Central Pulse netballers have beaten the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic twice this weekend in back to back pre-season games in New Plymouth.
The Pulse defeated the Magic 89-79 in Saturday's game and improved with Sunday's 90-73 winning margin.
Pulse head coach Robyn Broughton says she's delighted to have two opportunities to try out her new 2014 line-up, which includes the new shooting pair of the veterans Donna Wilkins and Irene Van Dyk but hasn't been together in over six weeks.
Broughton says she saw the combination grow over the two games, while Joline Henry showed strong leadership through the middle which helped to feed the ball into the circle, and her defensive combinations were outstanding.
Each game was made up of six quarters of fifteen minutes each.
