Hodge could revive international cricket career

The Australian cricketer, Brad Hodge, has received a boost to his chances of reviving his international career, after being selected in the Prime Minister's XI to face England in Canberra on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old is the most senior player in the Prime Minister's squad which will play an England XI in a 50-over day-nighter.

The 39-year-old has been in great Twenty20 form for the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League and the Royals in the Champions League this year, and his Melbourne teammate, David Hussey, has demanded selectors pay attention

Those performances could have Hodge in line for a belated call-up to the Australian squad for the World Twenty20 tournament starting in Bangladesh.in March.
