The West Indies cricket star Chris Gayle is set to miss the start of their tour of New Zealand after suffering a hamstring injury in the first one-dayer against India in Kochi.
Gayle is likely to miss the remaining two ODIs and the start of the New Zealand tour next week.
An MRI scan found a tear in his hamstring.
A team spokesman says the injury will take between two to four weeks to heal.
The first rest is in Dunedin starting on December 3rd.
