Hughes denies Kaka deal signed off

The world's richest football club Manchester City is denying reports a deal has been signed off to buy the AC Milan playmaker Kaka.

City have reportedly offered $250 million for the former world player of the year.

But Manager Mark Hughes says nothing is confirmed and it's going to be a long process because the scale of the transfer is so large.

But he says he hopes it will happen.

Meanwhile the Italian media, who expect the deal to eventually go through, believe Kaka would already be in England had such an offer come from a top team like Liverpool or Manchester United.
