The defending trans-Tasman netball champions the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic have held off the Northern Mystics to win 60-50 in Auckland and keep their top four play-off hopes alive.
The one-win Mystics were in contention for an upset until the final quarter when they lost Kayla Cullen to injury.
While Magic were under pressure for three quarters, they did respond in the final spell to pull away with their shooters completing 93 percent of their shots.
The fourth-placed Magic have 14 points, two clear of the Steel and Pulse, while the Mystics remain bottom of the table.
