Wigan Athletic claimed one of the biggest upsets in English football when they sensationally beat Manchester City 1-nil at Wembley Stadium to claim the FA Cup this morning.
It was Wigan's first FA Cup final in their 81-year history and they won it when Ben Watson, who had only been on the field for nine minutes, sent a header into the back of the net in the 90th minute.
Shaun Maloney, who set up the header for Watson, says the enormity of the win is still sinking in.
Wigan's win was the biggest upset since Wimbledon beat Liverpool in the 1988 final.
In a few days they will be fighting for Premier League survival when they meet Arsenal.
Earier Frank Lampard became Chelsea's all-time leading goalscorer with two strikes against Aston Villa, to give his side a 2-1 victory in the Premier League that virtually ensured Champions League football for the London club next season.
