The Auckland leg of Australia's V8 Supercar series returns to a revamped Pukekohe Park Raceway this weekend with the New Zealand drivers among the leading contenders.
Three of the four New Zealanders competing are in the top 10, with Fabian Coulthard winning two of the five official races so far this year, and Shane van Gisbergen one.
There's an extra dimension to the ITM 400, with the death of New Zealand driver Jason Richards last year after a long battle with cancer.
Richards drove for Brad Jones Racing, which Coulthard joined last year, and the Holden driver says it would be nice for the new race trophy dedicated to Richards to head to the team's base after the weekend.
Coulthard is seventh on the V8s leaderboard, van Gisbergen ninth and the rookie Scott McLaughlin's actually the current highest-placed driver in fifth place.
The other New Zealand driver competing at Pukekohe is another rookie, Jonny Reid.
