Evergreen former NRL star Steve Menzies has not ruled out extending his remarkable rugby league career into his 40s.
At 39, the ex-Manly, test and State of Origin star is the oldest player in Europe's Super League but he continues to impress with French side Catalan Dragons.
Menzies helped his fourth-placed team to a 30-10 win over Bradford at the weekend and says while he's still likely to retire at season's end, there was some chance he could extend his career to a 22nd season.
Menzies, who made his debut with Manly in 1993, moved to the UK with Bradford after helping the Sea Eagles to the 2008 title, for what was expected to be a one-season career swan song.
But, after two seasons with the Bulls and into a third with the Dragons, Menzies is not sure the adventure is coming to an end just yet.
