Bok prop banned for two weeks

6:01 am on 17 September 2012

The Springboks prop Dean Greyling has escaped with a two-week ban for smashing his forearm into the head of the All Blacks captain Richie McCaw in Dunedin on Saturday night.

Greyling pleaded guilty to his act of stupidity which has ruled him out of the Springboks' Rugby Championship match against the Wallabies in Pretoria on the 29th of this month.

The incident, which happened in the 64th minute of the match, was blatant enough for the Boks' coach Heineke Meyer to offer a sincere apology on Greyling's behalf at the post match media conference.
