Red Dragons' losing streak in Australia continues

Wales hasn't been able to end a barren 43-year run in Australia, losing a cliffhanger final rugby test 20-19 in Sydney.

There were no tries in the first half. The Wallabies led 12-9 at the break.

The Welsh went in front for the first time in the 61st minute with a try to loose forward Ryan Jones following a period of sustained pressure, thanks to their dominant scrum.

The Australia centre Rob Horne struck back within five minutes on the end of a sweeping move to take back the lead, 17-16, and Welsh kicker Leigh Halfpenny and his opposite Berrick Barnes traded penalties to make it 20-19 to the hosts with five minutes remaining - and that's the way it stayed.

Earlier, Scotland completed a hat-trick of wins on their Southern Hemisphere tour, with a last-gasp 17-16 win over Manu Samoa in Apia.
