Remuneration figures issued by Fonterra highlight the international focus of its dairy operations.
The figures in its annual report for the past year show 3500 Fonterra employees in New Zealand and overseas earned more than $100,000 in pay and other benefits.
About 1600 were based overseas.
Fonterra's 20 top executives received more than $1 million each in salary and benefits. Eleven of those were offshore.
The remuneration package for former chief executive Andrew Ferrier was about $5 million.
Three other senior executives, two of them offshore, received more than $2 million.
