About 60 Ministry for Primary Industries staff have been setting up traps in Whangarei on Saturday in a bid to lure out any Queensland fruit fly which may be in the area.

No further flies have been found since a male fruit fly was found in a surveillance trap in the Whangarei suburb of Parihaka on Tuesday.
It was the second Queensland fruit fly to be found in Whangarei this year.
The Ministry for Primary Industries has set up two controlled zones around the site where the fruit fly was found, and have set up 185 response traps within those zones.
"There are restrictions on the movement of fruit and some vegetables out of a defined controlled area," a MPI spokeswoman said.
"Whole fruit and vegetables cannot be moved out of the controlled area, although fruit and veges can be carried into the area."
AAP reports the controlled area has a radius of 1.5km from where the fruit fly was found on Tuesday, but does not include the local Pak 'n Save or Countdown.
The first results of the examinations of the traps in the zone closest to where the fly was found were expected on Saturday afternoon.
