As it happened: Christopher Luxon announces $723m childcare subsidy package

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Finance Minister Nicola Willis have announced a childcare subsidy package that will see families eligible for up to $75 per week.

The policy is expected to cost $723m over the four-year Budget period.

Willis said about 100,000 families would benefit from the subsidy.
