An Iranian teenager was killed in a car crash after a police pursuit in west Auckland early on Sunday.
He was one of five occupants of a stolen vehicle that crashed at about 1am on Hobsonville Road.
Police say they pursued the car after seeing it being driven erratically.
They lost sight of it after a three minute chase, but found it soon after on a residential driveway where it had rolled.
One of the car's occupants died at the scene.
A girl, 16, is in hospital with moderate injuries. Three other occupants have since been discharged.
Police are appealing for sightings of a blue Subaru station wagon in the Westgate area just before the crash.
