A Waikanae accountant and tax adviser has pleaded guilty to dishonestly obtaining about $2 million from his clients.
The charges were brought by the Serious Fraud Office.
In a statement, the SFO says Ian Victor Petersen admitted in Porirua District Court 34 charges relating to 17 clients over a 13-year period.
The 61-year old dishonestly obtained a total of $2,000,292.97 from his clients.
The SFO says the result was achieved with cooperation from the Inland Revenue Department and police.
