Rotorua police have charged a 15-year-old boy with murder, as an investigation continues into the death of teenager in the suburb of Glenholme on Friday night.
Tongarewa Thomas, who was 16, died in the driveway of a house in Clinkard Avenue after being stabbed.
The accused teenager was initially charged with assault.
Detectives and forensic experts have been examining scene.
Police say they'd like to hear from a man seen walking a large, tan-coloured dog along Old Taupo Road just after 10pm on Friday. It's believed he spoke with two people of interest to investigators.
