Hawke's Bay radiology staff to take industrial action

6:53 am on 24 July 2010

Hawke's Bay District Health Board has received five notices of industrial action by radiation technologists.

From Monday, the board says, radiology staff will cut back their work, including keeping to a time schedule for MRI, CT and ultrasound examinations.

The DHB says it has contingency plans in place to minimise the disruption and inconvenience to patients.

Earlier this year, radiology services in Hawke's Bay were affected by 38 days of industrial action.
