Police in Blenheim are investigating reports a woman shot at a group of children playing in a skate park.
They say six children were shot at in the Horton street park on Tuesday afternoon with a BB or slug gun.
A woman who was in the park at the time has told them a group of people arrived at the skate park in an white hatchback.
A Maori woman reportedly got out of the vehicle and began shooting.
Police say a skateboarder who was in the park at the time has provided a similar statement.
