A brothel that opened near a West Auckland school and kindergarten in April has closed.
The Red Door Massage Parlour faced opposition when it began business opposite the Lincoln Road Kindergarten and Henderson Intermediate.
The brothel was able to open because parlours with fewer than four workers were not required to get permission from the local council.
Henderson Intermediate principal Bruce Dale says the brothel shut its doors about two weeks ago.
