The parents of the four-year-old boy killed as he walked along a Christchurch street on Friday say they have no anger towards the driver of the car that hit their son.
Nayan Woods, was on the footpath with his mother Emma Woods and six-year-old brother Jacob Woods when the teenager's car mounted the footpath and hit them.
The four-year-old died at the scene and his brother is recovering in Christchurch Hospital.
Mr and Mrs Woods say their son was a fun loving boy, and a best friend to his brother.
Police say no alcohol was involved and that the road conditions were very wet at the time of the crash, which was just after 5pm, on Linwood Avenue, one of the main arterial routes out of the city.
Charges will be laid but that may take at least a week.
