A woman was seriously injured today after falling down the stairs from the judges box at a dog trial event near Ohura.

The Te Awamutu woman was injured at the event on a farm south of Ohura at about 3:30pm this afternoon.
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to the scene, where the woman was treated for head and chest injuries.
She was then flown to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.
