A six-year-old boy is in a serious but stable condition in Waikato Hospital after he was hit by a trailer that was being towed by an SUV.
Police and ambulance were called to Waihou, near Te Aroha, just before 3.30pm.
Police said the serious crash unit was investigating the incident.
