South Auckland police are appealing for help to find a 12-year-old boy who has been missing since Christmas Day.

BJ Thorner-Harrison was last seen leaving his care facility in Manurewa on 25 December.
Police said they had concerns for his health and welfare, but confirmed a short time ago that he had returned to the facility and was thought to be in good health.
Police earlier said they had made a number of enquiries with BJ's friends, relatives and associates, but had been unable to find him.
