Police in Northland are looking for two men after a group of tourists was held up in Dargaville early on Monday and their van was taken. Both men were armed.
Police say one of the men had a long-barrel firearm and the other a pistol.
The incident happened in Dargaville at 12.30am on Monday.
The suspects were seen at a service station just before the van was taken.
