The 46th National Agricultural Fieldays are under way at Mystery Creek south of Hamilton, notwithstanding Tuesday night's storm, which caused some minor damage at the site.

There has been such demand from exhibitors this year that extra space has been made available on the 50-hectare site, where more than 900 companies are vying for the farmer's dollar.
Exhibitors are hoping the high dairy payout and steady sheep and beef prices will encourage farmers to invest in new plant and machinery and take up the latest technology.
Up to 130,000 people are expected through the gates over the next four days.
