A hearing has begun in the High Court in Wellington in the lead-up to Mark Lundy's retrial for the murder of his wife and daughter.
The Privy Council ordered the retrial late last year, when it quashed Mr Lundy's convictions for bludgeoning his wife Christine and seven-year-old daughter Amber to death in their Palmerston North home in August 2000.
Monday's hearing is to discuss pre-trial evidential issues, but Justice Mackenzie has ruled there can be no publication of anything that takes place during the hearing.
Mr Lundy, who is on bail, was not in court. His trial is scheduled to begin on 9 February next year.
