Hundreds of people were treated to a lunchtime parade on Wednesday to welcome rugby teams taking part in the Wellington leg of the Sevens touranment.

The annual event kicks off on Friday at Westpac Stadium.
The parade of 16 teams began on Lambton Quay and ended in Civic Square.
Nearly 40,000 people attended last year's tournament.
Police say an extra 160 officers will be rostered on to help monitor the crowds.
