AA Insurancesays burglaries are falling but it still advises custoemrs to be vigilant.
Customer relations head Suzanne Wolton says the likelihood of experiencing a burglary decreased 12% in the past year from the corresponding period in 2011.
But the company recorded more than 1330 house burglaries and thefts from vehicles, with a total cost of $4.5 million.
