Police have concerns for a Greytown man who failed to return home after a visit to a Wairarapa beach settlement.
Miroslav Tvaroh, 34, visited Castlepoint on Tuesday afternoon, and police believe he parked a blue Mazda Premacy station wagon in an area near the church on Jetty Road.
Mr Tvaroh is described as of slim athletic build, has a slight beard, is about 1.8m tall and thought to be wearing a brown polar fleece and grey corduroy trousers.
The police and volunteers were conducting a land and sea search in the area on Wednesday. The public is being urged to call with any information that may assist in finding the Greytown man.
