Lotto's first division prize pool jackpotted to an estimated $30 million after nobody won Powerball on Saturday night.
According to the rules, a Must Be Won draw must now be held, in which - if there are no Powerball first division winners - the jackpot rolls down to the next division with winners.
With the Big Wednesday jackpot sitting at $22 million, Lotto New Zealand says there is now a combined first division prize pool of $52 million to be won.
Only eight prizes of more than $20 million have been won in the history of the lottery. The biggest single prize ever collected was $36. 7 million by a Masterton family syndicate in 2009.
