New Zealand amateur golfer Lydia Ko saved her best golf for the final round of the latest LPGA professional event in Hawaii shooting a 6 under par 66 to tie for ninth.
Ko started the day tied for 21st before firing a bogey and seven birdies to finish the tournament at 10 under par, nine strokes behind the winner Suzann Petterson of Norway.
AAP reports that her amateur status means the 15-year-old golfer, who turns 16 next week, missed out on a check for about $NZ38,000.
