Police are implementing stricter than normal control over speeding this holiday weekend.
Usually speeders are not picked up by police cameras until going more than 10km over the speed limit.
That tolerance has been lowered to 4km this weekend.
There were eight deaths and 17 serious injuries during Labour weekend last year.
