The International Monetary Fund says a recession in the eurozone could almost halve growth in China this year.
The IMF forecasts China's economy will grow by 8.2% this year - but it warns that a recession in the eurozone could cut this to 4.2%.
It says Beijing should get ready to inject billions of dollars into the economy to fend off any downturn.
China's economy grew by 9.2% in 2011, but growth was slowed by the government to avoid over-expansion.
