The NZX50 index rose 13 points or 0.4% on Monday to close trading at 3308.
Turnover was $68 million.
Among the major movements:
Fletcher Building was down 2 cents to $7.70, Telecom down 2.5 cents at $2.765, and Contact Energy down 1 cent at $5.20.
Sky City Entertainment lost 3 cents to close at $3.40, Sky Network Television was down 5 cents to $5.80, Auckland International Airport lost 1 cent to $2.25, and Air New Zealand was also down 1 cent to $1.08.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare shed 1 cent to $2.20 and, The Warehouse gained 3 cents to end the day's trading at $3.43.
PGG Wrightson was down 2 cents at 44 cents after reporting a loss of $30.7 million in the year to the end of June.
Goodman Fielder was down 1 cent to 98 cents after the company lost $A167 million in the year to the end of June.
Port of Tauranga was up 40 cents to $9.70 after it said container volumes will jump 20% to 25% this year.
Ebos Group was up 10 cents at $6.80 after announcing a rise in profits of 19%.
