The New Zealand sharemarket has continued its early gains on Monday to end the day 1.1% higher on turnover of $62 million.
The benchmark NZX50 index rose 36 points to close at 3253.
Among the main movements
Fletcher Building was up 8 cents to $7.70, Telecom rose 9.5 cents to $2.545, and Contact Energy ended the day up 3 cents at $4.98
Sky City Entertainment Group was up 6 cents at $3.46, Fisher and Paykel Healthcare up 3 cents at $2.27, and Auckland International Airport up 2.5 cents to $2.25
NZX shares were unchanged at $2.20 after the announcement its half year profit fell 21% to $4.5 million, largely due to foreign exchange losses.
Freightways was down 5 cents to $3.21 after its full year profit rose 29% to $29.9m, Steel and Tube was up 7 cents to $2.55, and
Mainfreight rose 17 cents to $10.22.
The Warehouse was up 6 cents at $3.42, Ebos Group up 6 cents at $6.71, Vector up 5 cents to $2.35, and Nuplex unchanged at $2.40.
