Shares in Ecoya closed at 99c each in the company's first day of trading on the sharemarket, after being issued at a dollar a share.
In the first new listing since Kathmandu last year, 12,000 shares in the luxury-scented candle and fragrance firm changed hands. The shares ranged between 95c and a dollar each.
The company's share float raised just over $10 million to fund expansion in Australia, Asia and the United States.
