Cancer diagnostic specialist Pacific Edge has received US government accreditation to test samples from patients in the United States.
It is one of the few organisations outside the US to obtain the accreditation.
It means that Pacific Edge Diagnostics' Dunedin laboratory will conduct Cxbladder tests under the CLIA regulatory process.
CLIA registration is mandatory for any laboratory processing Laboratory Developed Tests with
samples originating from patients within the United States or its territories.
Pacific Edge's Cxbladder is a diagnostic test that enables clinicians to detect cancers of the bladder.
