A Solomon Islands man has been arrested and charged with murder and arson in relation to the killing of a woman on Malaita 11 years ago.

Police commissioner Matthew Varley told the Solomon Star the person was arrested in Honiara.
He is accused of setting fire to a house with the woman inside.
Mr Varley said the police only learned of the man's whereabouts recently.
He is being held in custody to appear in court in Auki.
