Fiji's accounts committee tables report in Parliament

Fiji's Public Accounts Committee has taken a major step in what its Chair has described as clearing a "backlog" of outstanding reports since the most recent military coup.

FBC reports Professor Biman Prasad tabled the Committee's first report in Parliament yesterday, with its findings and recommendations on the Auditor General's reports from 2007 to 2009.

He says it's a unanimous report from all the Committee members and he hopes the Government will address the issues that are highlighted.

The NFP leader says the Parliamentary Committee will now turn to scrutinising the Auditor Generals reports from 2010 to 2013.
