The new Samoa men's cricket coach says getting all his players on the same wavelength will be one one of his immediate tasks.
Anthony Bowler replaces former player/coach Murphy Su'a in the top job and will take charge for November's regional T20 Championship in New South Wales.
He says with players scattered in a number of different bases, keeping tabs on everyone won't be easy.
"We've got players in Brisbane and we've got players in Auckland and then locally in Samoa so the challenge will be monitoring all their work and then kind of gelling the team prior to tournament. I'm off to Samoa in a few weeks time for a ten day camp, to prepare the national locally-based players, but yes it's probably one of the biggest challenges is getting all the players together and on the same wavelength from three different countries really".
Anthony Bowler says with a few experienced players having called time on their careers he will be leaning on the team's more senior members, including captain Ben Mailata, who he as worked alongside at Auckland Cricket.
