The Fiji government has welcomed a move by the Commonwealth which will allow it to take part in the Commonwealth Games this year.
Last week the 43rd Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group downgraded Fiji's five-year suspension from the Commonwealth.
Fiji was handed a full suspension in 2009 after refusing to allow democratic elections.
The move means Fiji can once again participate in a range of Commonwealth activities, including the Glasgow 2014 games.
The move is in recognition of Fiji's progress towards elections this year.
Fiji says it looks forward to a formal invitation to rejoin the Commonwealth in due course.
